| the other day, i pulled out my derek webb cd and started listening to
it again. when i first got it, the country style was a bit of a
distraction for me, so i didn't really listen to it. however, this
second time around, my ears caught on to the lyrics and i was grateful
for that. the music is actually deep and meaningful.

another quarter begins tomorrow. i'm up for the challenge ( i hope). i'm going to start reading Leithart's A House for My Name.
God's mercy is simply amazing. We will always be unworthy
servants because we never cease to be dependent on His mercy. We are
always in the merciful hands of an Almighty God. We'd focus on one day
of His wrath, but we often forget the thousands of days of wrath
withheld.
God is good, and we are not.

| Retreat was really awesome and challenging. It taught me a lot of
different things. I'm still reflecting on it and I'll post more in
depth later on or something.
It is interesting how these few passages keep coming up in my mind (i was watching larry king live the other night...):
"Therefore let us leave the elementary
doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation
of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2and of instruction about washings,[a] the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3And this we will do if God permits. 4For
